Using youtube for authentic performance assessment

Youtube is more than entertainment and can provide schools an efficient, cost effective and pratical method for curating, sharing and editing video. This session will focus on how teachers  can set up a channel to currate and assess student created projects. With the help of an iPad or iPod any student can create projects, and upload their work and edit their projects on youtube. Privacy and safety issues often prevent teachers from taking advantage of youtube and this session will discuss methods for safely using Youtube in school.
